Emma qualified with a BSc Physiotherapy degree from the University of Cape Town in 2016. Thereafter she did her community service year in Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha) gaining a wide variety of experience across different fields of physiotherapy. She got her dry needling qualification in 2017. Thereafter she worked at UCT Private Academic Hospital working amongst amazing specialists in an acute and also outpatient setting. Emma completed the Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute Matwork Pilates courses and qualified as a Matwork Pilates teacher in 2020. She then moved to a private neuromusculoskeletal, sports and orthopaedic practice in Constantia under the mentorship of one of the best physiotherapists in Cape Town, Jane Soderlund-Moore. It was here that Emma gained valuable experience and guidance in these fields. Emma completed the Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy Course (previously known as OMT) through the University of Witwatersrand in 2022.
Emma and her husband Ryan have moved back to Blouberg where they both grew up with the vision of setting down roots, starting her own practice and servicing the Blouberg community.
Emma has always loved being active with a background of ballet, modern and competitive Irish dancing, netball, athletics and enjoyed rock climbing in her 20s. She currently enjoys Pilates, running, padel (which is still very much a work in progress) and supporting her hubby on his running and cycling races.
